EWGA Ltd

EWGA Ltd (originallyEuropean Wine Growers Associates), was founded in 1972 by Pamela and Gerald Moeckell and their traditional business of wine wholesaling is today perpetuated by their son Adrian.

EWGA is a family owned and family run company with high standards in the selection and distribution of fine wines. Whilst maintaining a strong portfolio covering the traditional regions of Europe, the company now offers exclusive wines from most quality producing countries, including the Americas, Australasia, and South Africa.  Currently, EWGA supplies and services some of the most prestigious Hotels and Restaurants in the north west of England and owes its continued success to giving sound professional advice, offering an exclusive and competitive portfolio, backed up by a first-class service.

In 2004 new bonded warehousing was developed in Warton, near Carnforth (Junction 35 of M6) offering an excellent storage facility. This facility is used by both EWGA and other companies who wish to store wine under bond before dispatching it all over the UK and beyond.

In 2006 EWGA launched a trade division offering a portfolio of wines to other wholesalers and independent retailers that can be bought in bulk and dispatched by carrier throughout the UK.
