the team 2000

The EWGA Team is made up an enthusiastic group of people who all work hard to ensure that the wines we sell are of great quality, look good and are

in the right place at the right time. Many of them have worked for the business for over 10 years and whilst a passion for wine isn’t a requirement of the

job most of the team have it. Regular meetings, weekends away and product tastings help to cement the loyal team.

Adrian Moeckell

Adrian Moeckell

Adrian took over the business from his parents in the 1990's.

His drive and enthusiasm has meant that the company has gone from being a small regional wine company to a national wine wholesaler and importer.

His heart lies in Burgundy but he has worked hard to build up an exciting and commercial range from around the winemaking world to go along side the classics.

Craig Chappell – Wholesale Sales, Lancashire

Born and bred in Lancashire growing up on the Fylde Coast. Craig spent the first part of his working life in various catering establishments working around all the departments until he became hotel manager. His appreciation of fine food and wines was sparked here and cemented on a visit to Burgundy. Having taken his WSET Level 3 qualification he joined EWGA in 2010. He uses his background and knowledge to cement long term trading partnerships with his customers.

Dan Walker – Wholesale Sales, Cumbria

A recently WSET qualified wine lover. Dan spent 10 years in the hospitality industry he was lucky to work in London, Sydney and the South of France and here in Cumbria in a variety of front of house roles. Hugely customer-focused and dedicated to help grow business through new initiatives, staff training and team development.

Richard Walley – Wholesale Sales, South West

Richard is a recent addition to the EWGA team having started his time with the company in November 2017. Richard started in the wine trade in the mid 90's, working in an independent retailer in Devon. After a few years in retail, Richard started his own wholesale business supplying local on-trade and private clients. Over recent years, he has worked in different roles in the trade, recently with Oxford Wines and Moreno wines.

Tina Lewis - Sales Executive

Tina started life out as a restaurant manager and was lured into the wine trade by the bright lights of Oddbins! After 7 years management with them, Tina moved from retail to trade and spent 15 years with Heritage Wines building up a great customer base .... two and a half years later and still in the trade with EWGA and still loving it - what more could a girl ask for?!

Rachel Craig - Account Manager

Having been in the Wine Trade for almost 30 years, Rachel was mostly recently with Fullers, Smith and Turner’s wine divison, for 16 years, she knows a taste bud or two.  Her passion is the infamous Picpoul de Pinet from the shores of the Etang de Thau, superb with oysters, or a chilled glass of Gavi di Gavi. For red she would choose a Gigondas or Ch. Batailley to go with roast beef. Otherwise, a keen supporter of the local rowing club, and can be seen often on the banks of the Thames.

Rachel is greatly looking forward to developing the sales with EWGA

Peter Monk – Trade Sales

Peter has had over 30 years experience in the wine industry and 10 years with EWGA. His introduction to the industry started with 2 years of studies at the Lycee d’Enseignement Professional de Montreuil Bellay, France, studying Viticulture and Oenology. Peter is responsible for selling the agency portfolio to the trade in the South of England
