Team Building all the way up to Sergeant Man
Standing at 2,415 feet, this fell in the English Lake District has a variety of popular routes from Great Langdale via Stickle Tarn, or from the local village of Grasmere.
At 9:00 AM on Saturday 8th July, the team kitted up and set off from the beautiful village of Grasmere. Along the way, EWGA enjoyed the beautiful views of the valley below and took in the glorious rays of sunshine, although some of them forgot to apply their sun cream - you can imagine the tan lines they went home with.
Without a doubt, the walk was a challenge for some but the cemented team helped one another and all made it to the top of Sergeant Man just in time for lunch and enjoyed a glass of Italian, prosecco, Romeo.
EWGA descended from the summit and completed the walk within seven hours. They finished the day in Stickle Barn, Langdale pub before returning to Thorney How Youth Hostel on the bus.
Roll on next year!
