WHO WE ARE?
EWGA Wines is a team made up of an enthusiastic group of people who all work hard to ensure that the wines we sell are of great quality, look good and are in the right place at the right time. Many of our team members have worked for the business for over 10 years and whilst a passion for wine isn’t a requirement of the job, most of the team have it. Regular meetings, weekends away and product tastings help to cement the loyal team and ensure we are happy to help our customers!

ADRIAN MOECKELL
Managing Director
Adrian took over the business from his parents in the 1990's. His drive and enthusiasm for wine and business have meant that the company has gone from being a regional wine company to a national wine wholesaler and importer.
Managing the business for over 30 years, he works hard to maintain an exciting and uncompromising range of wines from around the world. He loves Burgundy and other French regions but he ensures there are plenty of other wine regions represented alongside the classics.

JANETTE MCLAUGHLIN
Sales Director
Janette joined the business in the year 2000 as the first full-time sales person employed by the company. She brought her hospitality experience and management degree to start the building of our wonderful sales team.
She also looks after many of the Lake District customers in addition to overseeing the rest of the sales team around the country. Her constant enthusiasm and innovation ensure that the business continues to grow and prosper.

Our sales team is made up of knowledgeable account managers who will work with you to put together a bespoke selection of wines that will work well in your business. Every member of the sales team is up to date with the current trends and will help you make sure that your offering is always fresh and popular.

DAN WALKER
Wholesale Sales Manager
A recently WSET-qualified wine lover. Dan spent 10 years in the hospitality industry he was lucky to work in London, Sydney and the South of France and here in Cumbria in a variety of front of house roles. Hugely customer-focused and dedicated to helping grow business through new initiatives, staff training and team development.

CRAIG CHAPPELL
Wholesale Sales Manager
Born and bred in Lancashire growing up on the Fylde Coast. Craig spent the first part of his working life in various catering establishments working around all the departments until he became hotel manager. His appreciation of fine food and wines was sparked here and cemented on a visit to Burgundy. Having taken his WSET Level 3 qualification he joined EWGA in 2010.

BEN PAXON
Wholesale Sales Manager
Cumbrian born and bred. Never happier than when he's out in the fresh air with his wife, two children and his Labrador, Peggy. His other great love in life is wine with Chardonnay being his favourite grape variety. French is best of course but you don't have to drink expensive wine to enjoy it!

PETER MONK
Trade Sales Manager
Peter has over 30 years of experience in the wine industry and over 10 years with EWGA. His introduction to the industry started with 2 years of studies at the Lycee d’Enseignement Professional de Montreuil Bellay, France, studying Viticulture and Oenology. Peter is responsible for selling the agency portfolio to the trade in the South of England.
